1849 Oregon Beaver Money

    I just received a $10 OREGON EXCHANGE COMPANY coin. Any way to find the correct value of it?

    That depends on whether it's an original $10 gold token or a reproduction.

    An original $5 piece sold for $125,000 at auction in 2006
    . The originals were gold, and contained about 10% more gold than $10 US half-eagles made at the same time. The $5 pieces were 1/4 ounce and the $10 pieces were 1/2 ounce.

    There are lots of reproductions available, and, depending on which one and the condition, they are worth anywhere from a few dollars to maybe a hundred.
