A really good open source is ebay completed sales, search for the year and in similar condition. Unfortunately their archive is almost not existent, so you might not have good luck there. Otherwise I really like the sold archives on Heritage, but you need to sign up for an account with them to do that. Good luck.

Based on condition, I would expect to sell it for $5-$15

I agree, but more towards the $15 side.

Google says we're not friends, he hates the way I eat. So I had to go it alone on this one. Now that I'm in my coin dungeon, here are my thoughts. I'd call this a Fine details coin with a low Fine condition, but with rim damage visible when looking at the reverse. There also appears to be a hole at about 11 o'clock on the reverse. There are some color concerns that may be from older cleaning. Lots of contact marks but You should still get a solid $15-$20 out of this beauty, Maybe more if I'm seeing damage that isn't there. Just my opinion.

You can go to PCGS Coinfacts and visit Photograde to estimate a grade for your coin; a starting point for pricing would be Numismedia (numismedia.com) and look at their fair market prices which would put your coin in the $20 range (although published market or retail prices tend to be on the high side).

There is less wear on the 50, but I like the 49 a lot better.
