1848 seated half

    What is the value of this 1848 seated half , it is EF+

    For the purpose of a fair market offer, I would suggest somewhere between $250-$285.

    Usually hard to tell from photos, but I would call it VF details, cleaned, net F12.

    I did not even approach my appraisal of the op's coin. I simply answered the question. Every time I attempt to interject a differing grade opinion, which undoubtedly decreases their expected values, I seem to be viewed as attacking the thread originator by having a different opinion. So if they give a grade and do not ask for a grade opinion, I simply cite the value associated.

    I think this coin is a very solid EF, maybe EF-45. A cleaning is likely, but it doesn't look too bad from the photos. It certainly should command at least VF money imho. Nice coin!!
