1848 Braided Cent

    I rarely get US coins but ive always loved the large cents. i got this one today. the obverse has some hits but the reverse looks very good. not my series do any opinions on grade would be welcomed.

    Is the picture you posted how the coin looks in-hand? If yes, the color looks off, like it's been cleaned. I'm not an expert in this series. I'll be interested to hear from other CT members.

    not got in hand yet im thinking it may be the light. many british coppers i got show red light that in photos taken with flash

    Looks cleaned and retoned with damage on the obverse. AU details.
