1846 ten dollar bill

    What country? What bank? What series?

    There are a million questions that need to be answered before we can give you information. Pictures help with this!!!

    There are no US paper money before 1862. All others are known as "Broken Bank Notes" These were unofficial notes issued by private banks that went under. Many are collectible.

    The only notes before 1862 were Treasury notes from the War of 1812 !!

    ANY currency issued before 1862 is not considered US Currency. The Continental notes issued in the 1770`s
    are not considered federal currency, neither are any notes issed from the WAR of 1812. Only notes issued from 1862 are considered US Currency.......

    You may be correct in claiming that the US issued paper money before 1862, but none is recognized as such. Of course these other items have great historical interest, and value.....
