Yeah, 25 Euros seem like a low price for that coin if it is genuine. What is that, a Russian version of Ebay???
no, just a pity lousy auction, they rarely send it within even russia, they want to sell it hand to hand im Moscow generally. besides coinfacts doesnt say anything about any double dies among this coin.
Look on the obverse. Does it have what appears to be a gash or a heavy bag mark on the shield that extends from the horozontal shield lines down and to the left, and into the ribbon, and through the letter "I" in LIBERTY?
I tried to make the "UNITED" a little easier to see and I think Satoo is right - it looks fake. This was the clearest I could get it.
If it's from China, it's almost certainly a fake. There are a huge number of fake Trade Dollars and Liberty Seated dollars coming from the Orient. They have factories, it would seem, that do little other than create fakes. The "better" fakes come from transfer dies, but even those are of poor quality and not too hard for even the intermediate collector to identify in most cases.
This goes back to what I said before, if the location of a seller is stated as Singapore or China - I don't buy. Sometimes, you gotta just say no
Hmmmm - except in very, very rare cases where I know the seller - unless the seller is located right here in the USA - I don't buy - period !
