    Hello everyone

I just wanted to share a picture of this coin my friend has and gets some grading opinions based on my pictures.

This is an 1846 O seated liberty, but I do not know the difference between a medium date and a tall date. I feel the coin is in great condition despite the fact it is from 1846. There is one obvious man-made blemish on the reverse, it's possible it had a square piece of tape on it at one time.

There are many more coins from his collection and he wants me to sell them for him and pay me a percentage for doing so. What would be a fare rate to charge for selling these coins for him?

Unfortunately I don't know how to decrease the file size for my pictures, so can I email them to someone to post?

What have you got to work with? With Microsoft, open the picture and click edit. That opens paint. On paint, click image and then stretch and skew. Set the horizontal and vertical to the desired reduction - preferably both the same percent. Just remember that a 50% reduction will cut the file size to 25% of the original.

Here is an 1838 half, not very good but still an interesting coin:

These coins were probably taped in an album for many years (double-sided tape or looped tape).

My initial impression was that it was an AU , but the shoulder and hairline seem a bit too weak for that in the photo. I would probably say EF 40-45 based on what I can see. Unfortunately, the tape marks are distracting and would probably make me want a price break. It is a very nice coin! Mike

And that gouge between stars 11 & 12 drop the grade (and price) too.

Very nice coins, I am no expert at grading, so this is all my opinion. Just consider them ballpark grades, although I could be way off with some of them. :D I'd say ask him for maybe 20 percent for selling them for him. Best of luck with them. :thumb:
