I was thinking low VF on these two. What do you think? Thanks Jerry http://www.ebay.com/itm/1845-Braide...rue&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_302wt_923 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1848-Braide...rue&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557#ht_302wt_923
45 I would give vf, not so sure of the 48 with the nick and scratch on the obverse. I think you could do better for the price on both.
not bad, just don't be afraid to shop around, I've found some fantastic buys in large cents in the $20 range. There seem to be a lot of them available recently so don't be afraid to shop for that best price. In the end it boils down to the coin you LIKE most and that's always worth a few extra bucks
I did kind of like the look of that 1848 even with the nick on it. I have found some decent coins in the 20 dollar range also but they are few and far between on e-bay. Lots of junky ones out there.
I'm working on putting together the best LC set I can in the 20-25 range (the $20 lc set lol) I usualy pick up 1-2 a month but it's gotten tougher now that I have filled most of the more common dates.
I know what you mean. I keep some and sell some to my LCS. I have gotten lucky a few times and got coins for around 20 that I sold for 40 or 45 but most of the time if I can make 5 dollars I am happy.
