Hello, This is the second part of my question. I am trying to see what you guys think the grade is on this token. I do have an 1837 version of this same token graded by NGC VF 35 I believe. I am using that coin as an indicator as to what this coin may possibly grade. I know there are varieties of this coin regarding the beaver and the trees. The other one I got graded had one of those varieties posted on the slab. I am trying to find and collectors who know more and can give me an indication as to what they think.
I don't think so, the other one I have graded is a vf 25 or 35. On that coin the ribbon below the beaver is worn down to a point were the details are hard to make out and the beaver it's self is worn quite a bit. I would have to say it is higher.
I think it's a PC-1B6. Short trees, long nose. I always have trouble distinguishing between the medium trees and short trees, but I think yours are short. I would grade it VF to XF (it would be a PC-1B4 for medium trees)
I would say AU. It has the denticals on the face of the portico. The "A" in concordia has its center. "M" on ribbon looks good. Very nice Coin.
I don't think even North American grading could call that AU. It is simply quite well worn, too worn in my opinion to be EF by British/European standards. I have had quite a few of these and it seems a decent but not remarkable example.
Is ther any way you could post a photo of this token that is in better condition than the one in the OP. It would be very helpful to have for comparison.
They have all passed through and on their way, sorry. I have had better ones, they usually sold to North American buyers.
I have slab graded vf. I will post it In awhile. You will see the big difference between that coin and this.
