I found these today while looking through the bottom drawer of the coin cabinet.

Nice coin. Surprised the reverse die hadn't fallen apart by the point it struck this coin.

Hard to believe the reverse die lasted as long as it did. It looks ready to fall apart, but I love the results.

Not too many more planchets to strike for that die. Great character, I like it

You have a keeper there. Very unusual, I like it a lot, thanks for sharing your gem!

This is a nice example of a late die state Seated Liberty Half. In this case, a very late-to-terminal die state.

Late die stage of Rev T, WB-26 R-3. This was the only use of this rev die it is not seen uncracked. Apparently the last crack was the one through the E in UNITED. According to Bugart all but one of the rev dies for this year come extensively cracked.

I can't quite figure out what is happening in the bottom picture. Is all of that bottom picture one coin? Everyone is mentioning a coin error and the die is in bad shape. I'm confused. Please explain what I am looking at?

The bottom pic is my attempt to show each of the 4 quadrants in close ups. Not a very good attempt I see. All the same coin.

These are all the die cracks that develop on the T rev, the OP coin shows all of the cracks. I can't be sure but there may even be an additional unlisted one from the right wing to the left base of A3.

Very nice find. Time to go through all of the drawers, wife’s too. That die is about to break so a great piece.
