With these two coins today I am only missing the quarter. I never intended to look for 1840’s but somehow I just kept finding them. It all started with a 1840 O half. Then came the dollar then the half dime. Today I found the dime and thought I only needed a couple more. I looked at the large cents and boom 1840. Now that I’m looking I hope the quarter doesn’t take years to find. The half cent and gold is out of my budget. Nice hehe I kinda got the same thing going with 1857... I've got large and FE cents, dime, trime and quarter and G$1 just need the half, silver dollar and half dime now lol

masterswimmer A Caretaker, can't take it with me

    Will you be attempting the $3G, $5G, $10G & $20G also?

Are you compiling the set in a specific grade? Pix?

I won’t do gold for my set. I’ll need to get a pic with all of them. Most are vg, dollar is AU and New Orleans mint when possible.

Never say never. Keep up the good search and it will happen sooner than you may think. Good luck thanks for sharing.

No... just happenstance that one of my 3 G$1s is a 57 (I have one of each type) I never intended to go beyond the $1s... but now I have 2 $2.5s (neither one is a 57 lol)
