There is nothing on the back. Is it real? 1117181024_HDR~2.jpg 1117181024a_HDR~2.jpg

I am no expert, but it looks real to me. Most notes like this had no printing on the reverse. I am sure more will chime in.

Looks like a nice private bank note from the ROT. Even has Sam Houston's signature. Too bad about the taping. You should be able to find something on line if you type the info into Google.

I have a 1807 Berkshire Bank Note that has no printing on the reverse. @mpcusa ? Your thoughts?

Yes, it's real, issued when Texas was an independent nation, before statehood. Worth $150-$200.

Most (all?) Early notes where hand signed so if the signatures and serial numbers are printed and not handwritten, there is a good chance it is fake

There are many, many types of early notes so this isn't a 100% gaurenteed test, but it should help weed out lots of reproductions .

The note looks genuine to me also. However the photo makes it look as though there's some reflection in the upper corners, as if it were shiny. Has it been laminated?
