It looks good to me. I think it's just the way the coin is. It looks natural to me.

The color looks normal to me and I would agree it has a weak strike.

Tater, i would also agree that the color is natural. It is slightly light in tone as you say, but overall quite pleasing.
It does not have to be darkly toned to be old, natural toning. That is something i have learnt from my metal detecting finds - many of the silver coins i have dug were not darkly toned at all.

I am going to go with my first impression on this coin! When I first took a look at it without reading any of the responses, I had a gut feeling that the coin had had an old cleaning and laid around in a box or other container for years before being certified, grade and slabbed. That is my opinion of the coin which may or may not be wrong! Otherwise, it is a nice coin that IMHO is priced at the top of retail unless I am missing something!

99% of these CBHs have that flat, lusterless look. Someone thought the owner's manual said "Clean, dip, repeat. Lose all luster."

LOL!!!!!!!! If I had an Owner's Manual for every one of my coins, then I would be sleeping on a Owner's Manual bed due to the lack of available space.
