I found this coin in my Grandfathers collection. It is very worn, with other damage, and has a hole punched in it. Otherwise, it has some nice detail. I am new to coins, and so I am curious. Does this coin have any value? If it was not punched, would it have any value? I appreciate your feedback. I am sorting through a lot of much finer coins, and would appreciate advice for storage and handling. I will post some of them also. Thanks.
It's pretty abused, but as a bust half, and a reeded edge one at that, it probably is worth somewhere in the $20-30 range to the right person.
Thanks for your comment. I was assuming the hole in it would destroy any value...but maybe you are right, to the right person...who knows?
