    This is a British 1/- of King William IV (reigned 1830-37).His name is expressed in Latin.It is of .925 fine silver.

    Thanks for that good info as always aiden. Is the coin of any value? And if not why is that price so high on that website

    Condition of the coin will be a key factor in deciding the price,but any King William IV silver is very tough to find in any condition.I find 1/- coins far harder to find than 2/6's,as the 2/6 was more commonly used over here in New Zealand.
