very nice bigjohn, that is a great example of the lm-2 die marriage. this is the second and final use of the obverse 1 die. i love the bisecting crack. lm-1 and lm-1.2 use the same obverse die [obverse 1] as well. lm-1 has a faint crack and the lm-1.2 has a more prominent crack with a great reverse cud over [FULL] TED [RETAINED] STAT. all of the marriages are quite tough to find.

    estimated rarity-
    1836 lm-1.1 R5
    1836 lm-1.2 R5 plus
    1836 lm-2 R3/4

attached is my set vf/xf set piece.

you have a great example and thanks for sharing.

Neat coin John. Very nice strike and neat die crack on your LM-2. The high amount of detail, along with a seeming lack of luster would have me concerned that the coin has been cleaned and/or dipped in the past. A very nice coin regardless. Thanks for sharing and respectfully submitted...Mike
