A friend of mine called my attention to this coin on eBay last night and I bought it BIN for $49.99. It's not a great coin and I normally would not have purchased it except for the terminal die state CUD at TED on the reverse. These late die state cuds are hard to find because they get hoarded. I don't have it in hand yet so these are seller's pics except for the last one which is a high-grade example of the die re-marriage with cud. Hope to have one as nice one day.

My guess is this coin would grade as AG-03 except it would probably get a details due to the gash on the reverse. No matter, it will never be sent in for grading.

Sometimes I look at my low-grade raw coins and say, "why is this here?" and then I flip them over and say "ohhhh yeahhh... that's cool!" Congrats on a fun acquisition sir!

The date alone makes it worthy, the cud is an added attraction, good decision in your part, congrats.
