1835 Half Dime (Grade Opions, etc.)

    And, I'd appreciate your views on this 1835 CLEANED (large date) Capped Bust Half Dime.

    Cleaned at least once. A bit of a weak strike. I have found more than a few of these half dimes are found bent -- much like the silver three cent pieces although not as often -- so it is always advisable to check for this problem before committing ot a buy.

    VF details, cleaned, net F is the grade I would assign to it. Personally, I would pass and wait for a more original and uncleaned example...Mike

    I'd say it has vf-30 details, but has been scrubbed pretty good as noted.

    Probably VF, but Wow what a cleaning!
