    1836 Bust Dime Die Crack

Just bought this coin. I know the grade could be better, but for its age it's pretty good, and I couldn't pass it up. This is my oldest coin I have with a crack.

Very cool. I love old coins with die cracks.

That's a pretty good crack - almost rim-to-rim. I'm sure that obverse die didn't strike many more coins after this one.

I am interested in why people like die cracks? Isn't that damage that decreases from the over all eye appeal.

Nice piece, and sure it could be better condition, you could have gotten an MS-63, but then it could have been better with an MS-65.

Enjoy what you have, not what you can't afford, or you'll never collect anything.
