Team, Just got in the mail today one I needed. An 1829 over 1827 Capped Bust Half, O-101. It's in a slab (National Numismatic Certification, NNC) and will soon be cracked open to FREE the Beautiful Lady Liberty, but for now (*heading to a St. Patrick's Day function) all I've got are the auction pics as I haven't taken any and the old-lady has the camera normally used... Here they are. Take Care & Thanks for Looking Ben
Guess you and I posted at about the same time lol. He sure does have nice selection. Very nice. Phoenix
nice bust half...love the early u.s. coinage....thanks for sharing and congratulations! its so cool to get the new coin in hand!...steve
Okay, here is my picture of her after crackout. What grade would you assign this coin and then I'll show you what NNC gave it Notice the overdate, it's clear when out of the slab. Take Care Ben
Wow, that's neat! It can breathe now! She must be very thankful, lol. Nice coin again, :thumb:. Phoenix
Nice coin! Don't know enough to grade it but I certainly like this one. I have used Harlan J Berk for several coins - I know his morgans came back from PCGS exactly as described. My father sent his xmas present in to be graded and the 2 from Harlan J Berk came back exactly at the grade I purchased them at. I have had no problems and only good customer service from them.
Nice coin, I have the same date but not this variety. Love the toned edge. I would give the obverse a VF25-30 and the reverse a EF40, So overall grade of VF35 or so. NICE FIND!!!!!!
Thank you Steve, the process was very simple. I just twisted the edges with my bare hands and so they separated and cracked. Pretty shoddy workmanship and material Ben
