This one is a little different, what grade did the TPG assign this 1829 CBH $1? For the Bust Half Dollar Nuts what is the Overton Attribution? ANd yes, I still have it encapsulated, one of the few still slabbed in the BCBHD collection. The faint scratch on the obverse is on the slab.

Thanks for taking a look :)

According to stastics it's one of the Top Three and very well respected, but what grade would you grade it?

I'd say VF30 based on ANA standards. But I asked the question so that I could also list my estimate of the slabbed grade, since the top 3 TPG's use different standards it depends which one slabbed it as to what I think that grade would be.

Ah, I see where you're coming from now. :) It's an older ANACS slab.

Then my guess of what they slabbed it would be XF40.

I really wanted to post the question w/o knowledge of the slab, but the scratch on the obverse negated that. I'm not good enough at photo-shop to remove it without disturbing the coin beneath it, so... ;)
