i bought an 1827 large cent from a local camera shop ( a nice old guy owns it and it has a small silver and old coin section) but its covered in green junk like playdough/algea.
is there anyway to get this off, it makes the coin look bad and hides some details, if your fingernail clips the coin green junk comes off and leaves a streak and then you have a green nail, i only paid $5 for it so is it ok to try to clean, and any safe way?
