    Team,

Here is one of the beauties of walking down to the MailBox on a warm summer afternoon; the wait is over. :) This 1827 capped Bust Half Dollar is an O-114 variety, R-3, and appears to be in EF-40/XF-45 condition with my opinion leaning more to the 45, this baby is HAMMERED!!! Any thoughts or observations would be greatly appreciated. :)

    Take Care Ya'll

The strike looks very good other than some of the stars are pretty flat. Is that a common occurence on these? It seems to me that the stars would stand a better chance of being fully struck than the high points on Liberty.

I would go with 45 also, the detail on the talons is still good, very little wear.
    Nice one.

    Fantastic ! Great color.

Interesting how a circulated business strike can show a cameo effect like that.

Here she is (the auction that is)... Their pictures didn't do the coin justice and I suspected the pics were adjusted so-to-speak... Mine are as taken. :)

I believe I said in the other thread your pictures would be better!!! Very nice coin! Their lousy pictures is your benefit. Good Deal. I have no problem with Xf40 or 45.
