    1825OBV.jpg 1824REV.jpg Hi,

I recently purchased this 1825 Bust Half, and have tried using Zip Allen’s site (http://coinzip.com/bustieguide/index.php) and Dave’s Bust Half Dollar site (http://www.maibockaddict.com) to determine the Overton attribution. I have to admit, I am struggling a bit.

On the reverse, the left side of the T seems to intersect the I, which on Zip’s site puts it as an O-103, O-106, O-111, O-113, O-116, O-117, or O-118. There is no date die crack, so it is not an O-118 (too bad!). I do see what I think are crossbars extending into the right wing, which would put it as an O-106 (a characteristic that is mentioned on both sites). But the arrowheads don’t seem to touch, and the arrowhead and the A don’t seem to be as close (both are descriptions form Dave’s site).

    O-106
    nice looks original.

PUP: Obv: 1) look at position of stars & & 13.
then, the 5 in date is recut.
Rev: RI close, with the R higher than the I
