I just purchased this beauty and I might have paid too much but what can I say, I fell in love with it! Interested in everyones opinions on the toning and grade? Its an O-110a, hence the awesome die crack! Opinions on value would be great too!

Au53, but that blue streak on the obverse makes me suspicious of AT. Still a very nice coin and Overton.

I love it , what grade did you buy her at . I'd grade her AU-58 . I think she was dipped and retoned in a manila envelope or something similar .

I'm at AU-53. Not sure about the color, though. Love that obverse die crack!

Another au-53. Is beautiful color. But likely secondary after an old dip

AU coin. Don't particularly care for what looks like a scorch mark where sulfur matches were used to retone it.

He does have a 14 day money back guarantee. I got the dealer down to $500. Does anyone think it will get a straight grade from a TPG or do you think I'll get details?

I bought it for $500, assuming it would straight grade. I bought it as an AU-50/53 price for my own collection. Any opinions on whether a TPG will grade it?

The way the tpgs are today , you can never be sure . It's up to you as I usually bust my Bust halves out as I like them raw unless they grade 55+ and still have cartwheel luster on them , once they lose the cartwheel I'd rather handle them especially when figuring out the Overton # . I wouldn't send it to PCGS as from my experience they don't like dark toning and yours has that dark area . Do you want to flip it or hold on to it as that would play in my desicion too .

I'll probably hold onto it for a while, Im slowly upgrading my Bust Half Set and picking up the last couple of overdates. I do however sell pieces to upgrade. I guess I'll see how bad I burned myself if I send it in!

au-50, beautiful coin, but I would be suspicious of that coin not slabbed.
