    Greetings All,

Was looking for some help with this beautiful, gorgeous, crusty 1818 over 7 Capped Bust Half which I picked up from budgood's fine establishment. Just look at the colors on it. :D I think it's an O-101, but was hoping you could take a look and confirm whether it is or isn't. There are a couple of areas which just don't add up. One being the outside point of star-13 being incomplete.

    Thanks for looking
    Ben

Hey , Thanks for the Hat Tip Ben !

When I purchased that coin it ws already attributed as O-101 , but I didnt check into it any further since all of the others in the collection where that coin came from were correctly attributed on spot check.

Sorry , I cant comfim it for you - Im down in frigid Naples FL right now :goof: & dont have my book.

I didnt even see you purchased it , let me know in advance next time & Ill hook you up.

Any way a great coin & Im glad it went to you !

    Ben:
I believe that you have O-101a, the damaged star is more visable in that picture, it shows as sorta of a notch and a break from one point (inner) to the one just south of the point with the 'notch'.
The only thing that dosen't match up is the die crack, but it may have been worn off, or just an earlier die state, or possibly still an O-101, but we can't tell from the pictures.

    Sadly, still R-1.
