With those scratches and the ding on the reverse I don't think it would straight grade. I wouldn't bid $20 on it. Then again, I don't know enough about the series.
I have one actually . It seems like a tough date . I wouldn't go more than $25 . I grade it a VG details because of her gash .
1818 actualy fairly common date... the obv dings detail it no question otherwise... xf-au this is the one I got for the $20 lc set... You can do better but not a bad buy for 20-25 https://www.cointalk.com/media/1818.15445/ https://www.cointalk.com/media/1818r.15446/
They may list as a "tough" date but I see at least 3-4 of them a day on ebay or vcoins... now try for an 1816, an actual key date and your might see 3-4 a week that are not bad culls... or several hundered dollars of course if you wanna pay out for MS LCs... they almost alway availible
It's the kind of coin you might buy now to fill a hole and will regret having bought later because you now want something better. It's a "junk box" large cent, and the specialist dealers sell these for low prices. I don't shop for them so I don't exact numbers, but the prices are not that high, like $10 to $25 each. The 1818 large cent is a common date, even in Mint State because of Randal Hoard.
