Bought this gold coin a few months ago on the bay! When I received it I was floored as it's a really nice coin and it has edge lettering. Before bidding I didn't even know about the edge lettering, I just wanted a King Louis XVIII, so it was a nice surprise! :D Let's see your edge lettered coin, post em' if you have em'! thumbsup.gif

Just a copper token, but I happen to have edge photos.

Nice! :) Conder Tokens were some of the first ones with edge lettering, in 1794! That's huge, I think the first US coin with edge lettering was the Saint Gaudens in 1907-1933. Quite a bit later than the Conder Tokens. I could be wrong but now the US has Presidential and Sacagawea Dollars with edge lettering. Any other edge lettering coins?? Post a US dollar someone?? Just realized I made an error, bust half dollars had the first edge lettering, what year anyone know?? :D
