A local collectibles store had an 1815 Half Stiver on display it what looked like decent original condition. (XF ish) I asked for a price and the worker said he had to look it up. I was in a rush and didn't have time to wait around any longer. I was wondering for when I go back in, what are the average prices for that coin in that ball park condition. Also an info on the coin would be great too, such as rarity etc. Seemed like a cool coin and I would like to pick it up if I can get it at a decent price. Thanks in advance.

Depends on the eye appeal. I would say $30 is a fair price for an average "XF ish" example of this early Ceylon coin. A nice, solid XF would be at least double that though.

Thank you, I'll get some pics up if I ended up buying it.
