    Team,

Would you believe I CAN'T seem to find my attribution book. I took it and some others (books) down to the coin dealer earlier this week and must have left the darn thing, LOL. My mind is shot... Going from memory and a 2nd edition Green Overton, I think this is an O-108 which came in the mail today. Can anyone confirm that?

    Thanks
    Bone

Im working on it for you - here is O-108 diagnostic . OBV. 6. S1LH,S7B-CC ,S8UH,S13 SC. PT. C. Stars are usually part to all falt.Milling narrow & often incomplete . Many specimens of this & the following variety show rim damage in minting , especially on the Rev. & adjacent to AMERICA. Date 9 3/4mm. with a broad 8 & the 2nd 1 lower than the other figures.

    REV. G. A1B , A2UH , A3B. 50 C. 1 3/4 mm . A-A 3/4mm . A large center dot fills the space between crossbars 4 & 5 . AM are seperated & level at bases. D-E & T-I are in line at their right sides.
    (63,60,60,60,60) R.4

The 2nd 1 does look to be lower but ,I cant see if there is a center dot on the rev. Maybe in hand you can-
Also I dont see the die cracks for it to be (108a)

I will keep looking while you check it out.

Sorry it took so long to have a sensible post, my computer froze up as I was loading the picture & tring to submit . Now it wont load anything -:(

Hello budgood, it's got the dot between lines 4 & 5, that's one of the reasons I picked the 108.

LOL, it's near the left edge :D I agree it's not exactly centered on the shield. If it's not an O-108 what could it be????

    It has to O-108 , 101 has a clash under 50 C. ,
102 has only traces of milling,
103 has a dot above the left wing & AM nearlt touch at the base A is higher ,
104 has a worn die, mouth open & little or no milling,
105 the date is well centered usually has clash marks & the left sides of the T-T are in line,
106 the first 1 high & the second is low in the date - left side of the scroll seems to always be well worn with EP usually missing along with UNITED in more than half the examples seen,
107 has a large 8 most will have die cracks across 1 to bust die crack from S thru O to scroll or shattered die,
109 same as 106 but with obv die cracks- Rev. has separated arrowheads & the I is centered under left side of T,
    110 clashed letters below bust.

108 says that the I should be in line with the R .With that & the center dot I say we have a winner.

With all the clashes & die cracks in this year , I believe you are correct in your 108 assumption- what a great memory !
