Looks like the coin has a substance on it that shouldn’t be there. It’s a tougher date but it’s not anywhere near worth NGC’s price.

I know its not straight grade worthy. Just wanted opinions on value with its condition. If it was your coin to sell what would you be asking?

From your photos I’d be around $25-$30.

I have to disagree with Collecting Nut on this one while you won't get anything close to that 950 list price, I expect in that condition you could readily get 50-100 for her at auction possibly even more.

With weasel on this one - I think 50 to 100 is possible.

    25 to 30 is fantasyland.

Maybe where you live but not where I live. Different areas deal with coins in different ways, ways that work for the area they support and operate in.

Listen Jerry. The Pics are sub-par. You can't even click and enlarge them. This coin is Environmentally damaged and not worth that much, I'm terribly sorry.
It has to be looked at in person no matter what everyone says. whistle.gif

I agree the pics came over way too small even though I used full image on them. Hard for you to give an informed decision on this coin.

Yes, very difficult. Maybe show better Pics? It just seems to look like a Metal Detected find to me maybe because I have metal detecting on my mind??
I'd like to see better pics for a second time. I would start low with the bidding and see where it goes. That's just my opinion. ;)

couple more crappy pictures but they show detail better. It has surface issues for sure but it is hard to find these with any detail left that are not very pricey.

Need some help? Use a black background. Also, use your cell phone like this, adjusting the height...... Coin_Pictures_101.png
Just watch the mount of lighting also. I have two programs that I use to edit. Mostly PhotoScape.com and LunaPic.com. I would try PhotoScape first. FREE download.

If you squeeze $100 out of it you should be thrilled.

For the pictures mine were pretty bad too. I've found my best option is opening my desk drawer and placing the coin in it on top of a loupe. then let my phone hang out over the top of the desk above it. I can then line everything up, zoom in and focus the camera.
I also take the picture using the timer setting.

As for the price from what I can see from the pictures my guess would be between $60 but I'm far from an expert.
