I have an 1806 half cent in great shape. What is it worth?

Howdy quailbird - Welcome to the Forum !!

It's not quite that simple - the value of a coin is based on several things. Can you post a pic of the coin ?

Both of these coins need to be authenticated - quite frankly I can't do it based on pics alone. Both coins appear to have been coated in lacquer at some time in the past and both show verdigris. Verdigris will damage the coins even further so it needs to be removed. But it will take somebody who knows what they are doing to do this. Both coins also appear to have been harshly cleaned.

Overall, the coins are in pretty good shape in regard to wear. And were it not for the other problems I have already mentioned they would probably be worth about $125 each. But with the problems taken into consideration my estimate would be about $75 each.

    Coins!

Thank you! I found these when I was about 9 years old and now I'm 59, so many years ago. Once again thanks! BTW! what is Verdigris?

Verdigris is the green stuff you see. It will actually eat into the surface of the coins.

    And you're welcome ;)
