Hi All, Can anyone tell me if this coin is often counterfeited I looked at a 1806 draped bust large cent today in v-fine $190.00 did not buy it but the coin looks very nice .Love this coin but I do not see enough of these to learn how to grade them would like to put this coin in my type set any opinions on these coins?
Actually, I've NEVER heard of a counterfeit draped bust cent, but I'm no expert on the series. I have a couple and they seem to show wear pretty easily or the ones I could afford were worn pretty good Take Care Ben
