Don't know? Wife got it for me, saw this coin in november but got a half dime instead. Never asked for price i'm guessing two to twofifty
I don't see them to often was at a local show in june and saw a 1807 quarter that i wish i would have got. Lady had it at G price but i thoult is was a soild VG to F. My loss i guess
I like your coin too, nice surfaces. 1805 is not a common year either for early half cents from what i know. I just bought an 1807 graded by ANACS EF40, and yours is better. Congratulations.
There is some nice doulbleing on the 5 i think that's comman on older coin's though can't get good pics of it these are the best i got
Nice coin! I believe that is a Cohen 1, one of the more "common" of the half cents. Part of my love affair with this series is that there are no common half cents, due to the reactive nature of copper over time, very small mintages and limited die life. To find one with eye appeal and decent surfaces is always an achievement in my opinion. Congratulations! But do be warned- when this bug bites it makes most other coin collecting look kind of easy! mike98024 you nailed it.Most of the time when i buy a coin i have the next one in my sight's. Couldn't get this coin out of my head sence i saw it.My wife well what can i say but pure love for me and my ummmm addiction. Now it's mine and i have no ideal what to put in the crosshair's? Well i guess i should wait till after the holiday's.......Yea right
As a date 1805 is common, and two of the four varieties are common, but it is NOT common in higher grades (AU and up. XF's a fairly tough too.)
