Very hard for me to tell hairstyle but I believe 2nd hairstyle. That put in the first "0" in the date makes me question if a possible 1800/79. Maybe attribution of the reverse would be easier and that could help me narrow it down?
I can't make it out, try http://www.usacoinbook.com/coins/133/large-cents/draped-bust/1800-P/80-over-79-style-2-hair/.
@Condor101 is one to give his input. There are many different die marriages for 1800 and many of the overdates are hard to see especially on such a worn specimen.
1800's are typically very tough. Fortunately you have one of the easy ones. S-197 the Q variety, moderately late die stage with the chips forming the "Q" in the first 0 strong and the raised lump below BE and above the hair clearly defined. Here is a high grade of the same variety so you can see the chips and lump clearly.
In your case, the lump under BE is strong, even if the chips in the date are questionable. I've looked at a lot of 1800s and sometimes push the limits between seeing and imagining diagnostics. Your fortunate this one is clear as Conder said. A significant number of 1800 coins described as overdates are actually this variety, which is not an overdate. ps Conder clued me in on diagnostics to distinguish between the S-194 and S-195 which helped me to decide to keep a couple of S-195s some other copper people with good reputations called S-194s. With better photos, I now can confirm the diagnostic die breaks for the S-195s. But the right stem wreath intersection difference he described helped me make the right choice. I now have 4.
