My latest to uncover. I believe it to be an interesting French copper or possibly bronze coin, 1798-1799. Obverse: REPUBLIQUE . FRANÇAISE Reverse: UN . DÉCIME . L’AN . 7 W Minted in Lille
Well, I don't plan on selling it on ebay or anywhere else for that matter. They mean more to me on a personal level. When I say I 'uncovered' it, that is just a term I use for pulling the coin out of a box and unwrapping it. I was left a pretty good size box of coins and a few bills of varying ages. I am going through them one at a time and researching them. I just joined CT for help when needed.
Thank you. I appreciate that. I have already received a great deal of help from several wonderful members. But what I like best is the learning.
Www.numista.com this site is invaluable for world coins. It even has an advanced search engine for when you only have things like diameter or date.
Yes, I have used it many times especially when researching minting. Thank you for reaching out to me.
