Hey took me a while to find a coin from the 1700's worthy of buying. This is a clean coin, no pitting or rim dings and no filled holes. I believe it is a 1798 style 2 hair. Nothing extraordinary but good overall appearance. Paid $50. What do you think? If anyone has a suggestion on taking photos of coins in flips i'm all ears !!

Coins should be taken out of the holder (flip) prior to taking a picture.

From those pictures I would say AG, but take it out of the holder and get some good clear pictures and I might change my mind. Plus you might get someone to attribute it.

I rather like the coin. The history behind it alone makes it worthy of 50 dollars.

I think it's around G4, the picture quality make it hard to tell. If the surfaces are nice and hard I would say you found a great coin, I find it pretty rare to see early date large cents in low grade without major edge/ding/corrosion problems...

AG3 would be my guess. Maybe G4 if the planchet is really nice.

Looks like a S-176. Definitely the style 2 hair. This is one of those i think of when I suggest some coins should be net graded higher than detail grade. The drapery would suggest G4, but the wear around the legends suggest AG3. So MY suggestion is AG3 details net G4. Perhaps this is another way of saying Choice for grade.
