Does anyone know what type and approximate grade these coins would be?

rzage What Goes Around Comes Around .

They are both ungradeable because of enviromental damage , that's not to say they're worthless as both if real are collectable coins . Your 1877 IHC is the key date for that series . Better pics are needed to tell if they are real . I don't collect large coppers but the 1877 does have a weak N of one , so it has possibilities . Too bad for the damage though . Were they in a fire ? Maybe they can be conserved , I'm sure the '77 IHC could be .

    S-30 I believe.

Try S-31. Note the berry to the left of the C in CENT. On 30 it is below the level of the C, on 31 it is to the center of the C. On this coin it is to the center of the C. Either way it is an R-1.

I see what you see and am now confused further because I just looked at the right stem which points right of the right foot of (C)A on the OP's coin and the S-30 and directly at the right foot of A on the S-31.
