I recently purchased a 1794 Head of 1794 Large Cent. I was unaware of what the coin may grade (looks like environmental damage, but still curious about a details grade) and if there is any type of variety. I am not very knowledgeable about Large Cents so your help is greatly appreciated.
Based on a quick examination, you appear to have the S-49 (B-41), which is an R.2 in regard to rarity.
Oh, and imo, the obverse has fine details while the reverse is closer to good. I think VG details, as noted on the 2x2 is probably accurate.
