Looks pretty fake to me but I am no pro for these early early types. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2655321875...rentrq:e698b74917e0a4d34c26b0f6ffed1cc7|iid:1
Well, it matches Obverse 4 and Reverse E for the proper die marriage. But the mouth looks a little odd to me - maybe too "smiley". OTOH, the coin exhibits clash marks on the obverse that are noted for this variety. At this stage, if I had to give an opinion, I'd say it's genuine. But the best opinion on this forum is likely to come from @halfcent1793
As Publius 2 says, it's my 4-E, Cohen's 4. No way to tell about the edge from the photos. The most common 1794 half cent, if you can use the word "common" to describe any 1794 half cent. I estimate about 1000 survivors in all grades. Nice VF detail and attractive color, but the corrosion holes decrease the value substantially. If you want one with a lot of meat on it but don't care about the surfaces, it could be a nice coin for someone.
Wasn't planning on buying it,just thought the coin looked odd(possibly fake)to save the bidders money if the worst scenario was true.
I don’t see anything too wrong with it, and it’s a genuinely nice piece aside from the bullet holes. Then again I don’t collect early copper in this particular grade, as I am a college student and it is beyond my budget.
