I just was looking through some auctions and noticed this 1794 Flowing Hair half dime and thought it was one of the better examples I've seen of the obverse and reverse designs in a long time (at MS67 that's not entirely surprising), thought others may enjoy the pictures. If anyone has one of these that they are just sick of and want to give me, I'll gladly take it.
Beautiful coin. Looks like the reverse die wasn't far from shattering. The four in the date looks doubled, as does Liberty's nose.
The past owner of the great Richmond Collection once said...I didn't buy the best out there...I bought the best I could. That is kindof how I look at this type of coin....if I had the money to buy this coin and needed it and thought it would fit in my collection then I would....but to tell you the truth....I would MUCH rather have this coin in F-15 for my set and not MS67. Speedy
I almost jumped on this one, but decided to hold out for one without that unsightly die crack. :mouth: So here I am, stuck... still lookin' to upgrade my MS66PL.
