    Looks like it went through the French Revolution

    It may have also circulated in America as lots of European coins did.

    I like the brassy metal on these.

    Hey, if you started with something unrecognizable, then things have improved.

    Neat historical relic of a turbulent time, regardless of the trials and tribulations it had.
