179??? Large cent...

    I could be all wet and won't be sure until it arrives in a few days but...

    positive she's 97-98 or 99... I'm leaning towards the 97 or 99 (both needed for the $20LC set and this one qualifies lol) but won't be positive until she's in hand :D

    Sadly its not a 97 or a 99. This coin is a 1798 S-187. A few of the markers of this variety are the left berry drooping and an arc crack coming from RTY in Liberty. It is a neat coin nonetheless and it would be a great start to building a Sheldon set of 1798s. :)

    @Coins4Eli , I find amazing you can attribute that coin!

    I can hardly make out the date on that example, and 1798's are mostly difficult to attribute as a whole.
