    Howdy fellow coin peeps, :)

Here's another one of the coins I recently won in a Heritage Auction, along with 3 other colonial type coins.

It's a Newman 6-W and barely attributeable and without a doubt a ground find but all of my Fugios are ground finds and I'm lucky to have them, considering how expensive these little booghers are.

    This makes #4 and the others are a N12-M & N12-U & N15-Y. :D

Yours is probably worth more then mine . I'm the guy that has the Fugio with the hole in it. I read somewhere that the fugio is one of the most popular coins on a coin collectors want list. Having a fugio in any condition is great, remember this coin in in the smithsonian . I love the fugio coin.

Yours is in much better condition so value is similar but if it was me, I'd rather have yours. I don't mind a hole in certain coins and the Fugio is one of them. ;) Of the four I own, one is holed and the others aren't and the one that's holed, is in better condition than the other three. :D

Nice grab Toad. By the way if you safe ever gets to full you just let me know, I'll hang on to your surplus for you.
I tell you what, the more I see different coins around here, the tougher it gets to stick to what I'm collecting now.:headbang:

I happened to pick the area that is impossible to find where I'm at. :( This area isn't old enough to have the early coppers "floating" around or to find via metal detecting, so I have to rely on the internet.

I went to the local coin shop yesterday to grab a few supplies, flips & flip holder pages, and I asked, as I always do, any old copper show up? The answer it always the same - Nope! :( However, I took along my newly acquired California Gold Tokens and found out he has a few stuck somewhere and is willing to sell them to me at around the price I paid for the ones I just got, so that has me sitting on the edge of my seat wondering what he's got. :D I'll go see him again on Monday to see if he's pulled them out yet, which I doubt he will have, but it will let him know I am serious and then he'll remember to do it. ;)

As to a safe, I don't own one. My place is pretty secure so peeps can't break in and I'm always around. :kewl: One of these days I'll start uploading pics into my "thingy" on here so my whole collection is viewable. Not sure when I'll get around to doing that but someday. I still need to make it to a local coin club meeting, which is next Thursday. I wonder if I'll make it this time?

The only time I remember seeing these coins was when I was about 13 years old and I was a messenger in Manhattan. I would often go to what was then the Bank of New York on Wall Street and they had a bunch of these on display.

Psssst! The DBC I got from Heritage is a 1797 S-137. :D As soon as I make it to Wally World to get a dremel, I can cut it out of it's holder and take pics to post on here. ;) I'll try to go tomorrow. :D

I already posted the N6-W so that's the four I have so far also, I said they were all ground finds, when all of them are except for the N12-U, which is very worn but has no corrosion. It looks like it has seen many pockets. :D

I hope to increase the number I have but I collect all the colonials so it doesn't take many to break me each week plus I have to start saving my money to have startup cash for the business I'm taking over at the first of the year. That will slow me down for a few months but I'll be back in full swing around March, so enjoy not having me to bid against while it lasts. :D

Thank you for posting them Paul ,I really enjoyed viewing them, you know there my favorite coin.I had to pick one of the most expensive coins to like, and I cant' even afford to buy one in MS70.( yeah right if they exsist)The holed fugio is not bad at all ,you know that was used for a jewlery piece right in the suns face the hole. The one I like the best is the N12S the reverse of that coin is in vg. Why is the obverse a shade of blueish? Do you want to make a deal:pencil:, I will give you my fugio for all four of yours, plus a full tank of gas.:rolling: Let me know/

    great coins toad
