1783 Nova Constellatio - Yikes!

    Just saw this one on eBay. I have a sneaking suspicion this is not one of Benjamin Dudley's proofs.:blackeye:

    It has thirty bids already. Caveat emptor? Or, maybe the bidder wants it as a copy?

    Obviously a copy, but if it was 500 rather than 1000 id bid on it. The 500 unit coin was called a quint. Just so happens to be my last name lol.

    By no mean's am i an expert BUT love Colonial's,I have Bowers book on Colonial&Early american Coin's among other's and THAT thing is horrible! Bidder's are obviously not knowlegible on CC but maybe someone wants a copy,Oh well...HAPPY HUNTING ALL;)!!!
