Today I was going through my dads collection, and came across two 1793 old spannish silver coins that are quite heavy. I would say close to the size of a Morgan dollar. There is also a 1779 coin with same design. They are fairly worn. Do you know what a coin of this type could be worth. If not, could you point me to a site that could have information about old Spannish coins?
By the way, I dont have a cammera to post pictures.
Here is a link to the Ebay site that has the same type of coin:http://cgi.ebay.com/OLD-US-COINS-17...Z8400633658QQcategoryZ528QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    These are the years I have, 1793, 1779, 1793, 1804.
All of them have more wear than the one on auction, but the fugure, letters and back are all visible.

If they are the same as the coin in the link you provided then that's what they are - Spanish colonial 8 reales, also known as pillar dollars. Value can vary greatly depending on mint, date and condition. And there are a great many fakes out there. But if you can post pics I'd be glad to help you out ;)
