1776 contintal curency

    my father died back in 88 but he had a box of coins that we found recenty found mostly silver dollars, silver dimes and nickels but one cone is a 1776 continental curency, i have read up on this coin and pretty sure it is a fake, but how can i know for sure thanks clegferry
