1776-1976 half no copper?

    I have a 1776 - 1976 proof half dollar and just noticed the edge is all silver color there is no copper is this normal for this coin.

    Sometimes yes - the coin was issued in standard copper nickel clad and silver clad. The silver clad coins were issued in Proof and Unc.
