Does anybody know if I could buy any coins from the 1770's to the 1790's for less than 20 bucks? I don't care about condition. ag-3's or even poor-2 or 1(are those even a grade?) are good to me. Thanks!

Put up an ad in the wanted section :smile
You might get what you want
But are you talking about US coins or foreign?
I think US coins tend to be very expensive in that date range (except colonial I believe)

You can buy coins all day in that price range. Think about a British Penny or Half-penny. Also Russian 2 Kopeks are cheap and are nice big coppers.

US is unlikely, but in non-US yes it can be done fairly easily. If you wan't inexpensive but which did circulate in the US at the time then I would recommend British halfpennies from 1770 to 1775. They were commonly used in the colonies.
