1762 Carolos III Lapel Pin

    Purchased as lapel pin from Koch in Frankfurt, Germany. Unknown if real or made for jewelry, but knowing the buyer, certainly gold. Original container. On front: 1762 Carolos III D.G. Back: Not entirely legible due to the circular holder; has coat of arms; Hispanic, then looks like R.G (or U?).M.; then R.E.X; then three marks directly under the coat of arms - unable to read due to the pin holder.     Hi DB sorry I cant help you on value, but welcome to CoinTalk and i have to say that it looks like a rather nice item (shame about the coin LOL) it is often quite strange when you see coins adapted to other uses, there is another thread at the moment about coins turned into pocket knifes :D I have seen them turned into broches, watches, rings but this is the 1st Lapel pin so many thanks for that :thumb:
